Update: Washington State Department of Transportation workers finished repairs on the washout this afternoon:

If you’re driving Highway 2 between Cashmere and Leavenworth today and tomorrow you should expect slow going.

That’s because the state is repairing a washout near Peshastin, with flagger-controlled traffic.

That means traffic backups on the heavily traveled section of highway.

The result Monday was many motorists reporting delays of an hour or more.
