We’ll be pool side at the Eastmont Aquatic Center for the swim and dive meet between Eastmont, Wenatchee and Moses Lake. Then on Friday, we’re at Lee Bofto Field at the Apple Bowl for Wenatchee and Moses Lake Football. We’ll wrap our first week of coverage up on Saturday at Eastmont when the Wildcats entertain Moses Lake in girls soccer.

Sue Bird Re-Signs with Seattle

40-year old Sue Bird has re-signed with the Seattle Storm to play another season, her 18th in the league and 20th overall with the franchise.

After leading the Storm to its 4th WNBA Title in 2020, Bird said she would be back again if her health and body allowed her to do so. Bird took the 2019 season off recovering from knee surgery. Back in 2020, she averaged 9.5-points and 9.2-assists per game.

Under Bird’s leadership, the Storm won WNBA Titles in 2004, 2010, 2018 and last year.
