Law enforcement agencies and first responders from throughout Grant County were out in force Saturday raising food and donations for local food banks.

Organized by Target Zero, the Columbia Basin Traffic Safety Force, events were held at grocery stores in Moses Lake, Ephrata, Quincy, Soap Lake and Royal City.

Target Zero says nearly 20,000 pounds of groceries and $3,000 cash were donated.

In addition, 4,000 pounds of potatoes and 4,000 pounds of onions were donated by area farms.
