Grant County reported five additional COVID-19 deaths Monday, bringing the county’s total coronavirus deaths to 120 since the pandemic began.
The Grant County Health District delays the announcement of COVID-19 deaths until they have been verified with death certificates, testing and other case information.
The latest confirmed deaths all involved people with underlying health issues and all from Moses Lake.
They include a man in his 50s, a woman in her 60s, two men in their sixties and a man in his 90s.
The health district said there are four additional deaths awaiting death certificate confirmation before classifying them as COVID-19 deaths.
There are currently nine people in the county hospitalized with the virus.
