Wenatchee Hosts Devils, Eastmont at Moses Lk.

WENATCHEE, WA – Each week, NCWLIFE Channel Sports Director Eric Granstrom goes out to practice at Wenatchee and Eastmont to talk with a player and a coach.  This week, he visited Wenatchee during its homecoming week prior to Friday’s game with Walla Walla, and Eastmont before its road game to Moses Lake.

We’ll start with the 5-3 Panthers, who lost their first Big 9 game of the season last week at Sunnyside 14-10.  This week’s game with the Blue Devils is non-conference so that means next week’s Bridge of Sportsmanship contest with Eastmont will determine the regular season Big 9 Champion.  Eric visited with defensive back Dalton Thomas about focusing during homecoming week and not looking ahead to the Wildcats…

Eastmont Trying to Beat Moses Lake for 1st Time for Don

Michael Don is in his 4th year coaching the Eastmont varsity football team.  In his previous 3-years, he was oh-and-3 against Moses Lake.  He hopes to turn those tables Friday night when the Wildcats travel to take on the Chiefs at Lions Field.  He visited with Eric Granstrom about last week’s win over Eisenhower, a big loss on the defensive line, and trying not to look ahead at a possible showdown for the league title with Wenatchee next week…

For senior starting outside linebacker Preston Esparza, its hard to contain the excitement over what this team has accomplished so far this season, but he doesn’t want to spoil it by looking ahead…
