WENATCHEE-The Special Olympics USA Games is coming to Seattle next week and the Flame of Hope is coming through Wenatchee tomorrow.

The relay begins tomorrow morning at Liberty Lake and winds its way through Spokane, Ephrata, Wenatchee and Leavenworth on its first day. 47 law enforcement officers representing 47 states, along with six Special Olympics athletes make up the prestigious “Final Leg” team for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games Law Enforcement Torch Run.

A brief ceremony will be held at Wenatchee’s Centennial Park on Wenatchee Avenue tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. with our own Eric Granstrom emceeing the event.

You’re invited to come down and cheer on law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes as they prepare for Sunday’s Opening Ceremonies of the USA Games at Husky Stadium.
