five year old dies

ROYAL CITY-A five year old girl died Sunday when fire destroyed her family’s Royal City mobile home.

Grant County Sheriff’s office has issued a news release on facebook reporting the fire’s location in the Coachman Mobile Home Park.

Officials say responders were called out around 3 a.m. Sunday. They say the victim apparently became trapped or otherwise unable to escape. The home’s other occupants were able to get out of the home.

Due to close proximity of the trailers within the park, two additional trailers burned and a third was damaged.

Royal City Police are conducting the fire investigation. The girl’s body is in the care of Coroner Craig Morrison whose staff will conduct an autopsy.
