Fiery car crash in Leavenworth

Leavenworth Crash

LEAVENWORTH, WA– This was the scene of a fiery traffic accident last night in the Leavenworth area. Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeff Anderson says the single vehicle crash happened on US Highway 2 at the West end of town.

“It actually left the paved shoulder and struck a rock that’s kind of shaped a little bit like a ramp, which launched the vehicle into the air and flipped it,” Anderson said. “The vehicle came to rest on its top, and that’s when it ignited.”

Trooper Anderson says the unnamed driver received only minor injuries. He says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
