It was a hard night for the Wenatchee girls on the hardwood, falling to Ellensburg 68-to-11. Moses Lake eased past Eastmont 63-26. Ephrata beat Brewster 48-37. Chelan quieted Quincy 55-25. It was Okanogan over Omak 67-33. Lake Roosevelt cruised past Oroville 82-26. Liberty Bell popped Pateros 53-38. And Almira-Coulee/Hartline defended its home floor with a 49-28 win over Waterville-Mansfield.

The Wenatchee Valley men and women’s basketball teams picked up victories on the road last night…

WVC Scores and Schedule

Natalie Andreas led the Lady Knights with 22-points as WVC beat Yakima Valley 76-69. Madelyn Godwin also chipped in 16 in the win for the Knights.

Jaylen Scott went off for 29-points in the nightcap as Wenatchee Valley topped the Yaks 91-73. Carter Arrasmith also helped out the cause with 17.

The Wenatchee Valley softball team hosts Treasure Valley tonight at 6 o’clock.

Taking a look at the American League West Scoreboard, Clayton Kershaw pitched 7-and-two-thirds innings with 6 strikeouts to lead the Dodgers over the Astros 9-2. Justin Turner was 2-for-5 at the plate with a 2-run home run.

Shohei Ohtani’s 15th home run, a 3-run shot, helped the Angels power past the Rangers 11-5. Jared Walsh was also 2-for-4 with 2-runs and 3-RBI’s for Los Angeles.

Seattle’s win drew the Mariners a game closer to the leaders in the division with Oakland and Houston both losing. The M’s stand 4-and-a-half games back at 23-and-26.
