To find the most affordable places to buy a home, SmartAsset considered closing costs, real estate taxes, homeowner’s insurance and mortgage rates in its analysis. And, drum-roll please, Ephrata is number 1!

The average annual monthly mortgage payment in Ephrata is $567.83 a month. As a result, the affordability index came out to 45.02. And, Quincy ranked 6th on SmartAsset’s list with an affordability index of 41.73. The average monthly mortgage payment in Quincy is actually less than Ephrata at $542.25.
