A 63-year-old Ephrata man who was struck by a car earlier this month while walking along a roadway died Wednesday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The Washington State Patrol said Rubio A. Angel was walking north near the bicycle lane on D Street N.E. about 11:20 a.m. on Nov. 7 when a vehicle drifted into the bike lane as it approached 2nd Avenue N.E. and struck him.

The State Patrol says the driver of the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, Martha Devine, 84, of Ephrata was not charged in the incident. She was not injured.

Angel’s survivors have started a donation fund to raise money for his funeral and medical expenses.
