It is billed as the Employment Summit Job Fair. The first annual event takes place Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
The event is a collaboration between local education and business-centered organizations in the community including the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, Wenatchee Learns Connect, the Wenatchee School District, SkillSource and WorkSource.
Two main events will fill the day of the summit: a breakfast program on technology and employment which features a keynote speaker from Monster.com, followed by a community-wide job fair.
Diana Haglund with the Wenatchee School District is one of the organizers of the event tommorrow, said the summit is a good opportunity to network with employers and educators.
The job fair is open to the entire community, with a special opportunity in the afternoon for high school students to attend the fair and learn more about relevant employment opportunities.
