Moses Lake Airport has been selected by an Israeli-based company to test fly a new electric-powered commuter aircraft. The announcement was made earlier this week at the Paris Air show where officials with the Port of Moses Lake watched Eviation Aircraft unveil its new all-electric plane called the “Alice” . .
“Alice” is a nine-passenger aircraft that is designed for short commuter flights between 100 and 600 miles at a speed of about 230 mph. Airport manager, Rich Mueller says Eviation Aircraft joins Japanese aircraft manufacturer Mitzubishi which currently uses Moses Lake for flight testing of its new regional jet. .
Eviation CEO Omer Bar-Yohay announced at the Paris Air Show that the company is targeting 2022 for service start up pending FAA certification of the Alice aircraft.
