A packed Lee Bofto Field at the Apple Bowl was treated to a classic, as Eastmont grabbed a 14-nothing lead. Wenatchee came back to close to within 7 at halftime. And after a scoreless third quarter, the Panthers looked as though they were going to tie it to start the fourth quarter, but after Camden Sirmon’s second rushing touchdown of the night, the extra point sailed wide left and Eastmont held a one-point lead.

Following an Eastmont turnover, Wenatchee moved into position for a 37-yard field goal attempt, but it also missed and the Wildcats ran out the clock to secure its first League Title since 2012.

Eric Granstrom and Phil Zukowski had the exciting call on the NCWLIFE Channel…

Nate Blauman led the Panthers with 116-yards rushing on 31-carries. Caelen Massey had 58-yards on 14-carries while Carson Talley rushed 18-times for 64-yards and a touchdown for Eastmont. Massey also collected that 63-yard touchdown reception. Camden Sirmon scored both Wenatchee touchdowns and was 7-of-18 passing for 40-yards.

Eastmont improved to 9-and-1 on the season with the win and now awaits its seeding Sunday to find out whom they’ll play in the first round of the State 4A Tournament. Wenatchee finishes the season 6-and-4.

NCWLIFE’s Eric Granstrom was able to share the moment with Eastmont players and coaches after the ball game…
