In a game full of drama, big plays, and last-minute heroics, the Eastmont Wildcats defeated the Wenatchee Panthers 28-24 in the Bridge of Sportsmanship last night…
Both teams will advance to play Saturday at Moses Lake.
Sunnyside, by the way, beat the Chiefs last night 56-to-nothing. So it will be Eastmont and Sunnyside playing at 1 o’clock in two, ten-minute halves. The winner gets the Big-9’s No. 1 seed to State. The loser will face Wenatchee 20-minutes later in the same format with the winner of that game getting the Big-9’s No. 2 seed to State.

Liberty Bell wins District Soccer Title

Liberty Bell is the District 6 2-B champions after a 6-5, 3-2 shootout win over Tonasket last night. Brewster advanced with a 5-1 win over Lake Roosevelt.
Wenatchee soccer has one more shot at State
Here’s a reminder of the schedule ahead in playoff soccer. Wenatchee will host Moses Lake tomorrow at Noon at Lee Bofto Field at the Apple Bowl for a last-chance-at-State.
Ephrata hosts West Valley of Spokane in the CWAC-GNL Glue Crossover at Noon.
Cashmere faces Freeman in the CTL-NEA Glue Crossovers at Gonzaga Prep tomorrow at 2. Cascade plays Deer Park in the other game in the Apple Bowl at 3 o’clock.
In the District 6/7 2B Glue Crossovers, Brewster plays at Northwest Christian at 1 while Tonasket hosts Davenport.
Entiat’s season ends while Pateros advances to State 1B Volleyball
Quincy High School was the site for yesterday’s District 6 1-B Volleyball Tournament…
Wilson Creek beat Pateros 3-1 to win the District Title. Riverside Christian ended Entiat’s season 3-1. Then Pateros advanced to State with a sweep of Riverside Christian.
In the District 5/6 2-B Glue Crossovers at Wenatchee High School, Kittitas stopped Waterville 25-15, 8 and 20. Tri-Cities Prep blanked Brewster 25-20, 23 and 18 with both heading to State.
Wenatchee faces West Valley for District Volleyball Title tomorrow
On a crowded playoff volleyball schedule tomorrow, the District 6 4-A tournament is at West Valley High School.
Moses Lake plays Eastmont in a loser-out game at Noon while Wenatchee takes on the Rams for the District Title. The Moses Lake/Eastmont winner will face the loser of Wenatchee and West Valley for a last chance at State at 3 o’clock.
Wenatchee High is the site for tomorrow’s District 6 1-A tournament. Chelan takes on Okanogan for the District Championship at 3 o’clock. Cascade and Omak play a loser-out game at 5. Then the Okanogan/Chelan loser faces the Cascade/Omak winner for a last chance to State at 7pm.
Ephrata is in Pullman tomorrow for a 1 o’clock game in the CWAC-GNL Glue Crossover with the winner advancing to the State 2-A Tournament.
Prep Football Schedule for tonight

Cascade wraps up the season at home tonight against Newport at 6. Okanogan hosts Riverside at 6 while Chelan and Freeman kick off at 7 o’clock.
The CWAC and Great Northern League play their crossover games tonight as Toppenish travels to Clarkston; Othello hosts Pullman; and Ephrata is at East Valley of Spokane.
And in the B’s tonight, Almira-Coulee-Hartline hosts Soap Lake. Bridgeport is at Waterville-Mansfield. And Entiat hosts Odessa.
Cross Country Championships Saturday in Pasco
The State Championship in boys and girls cross country will be settled tomorrow at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco…
The first flight for the 1B/2B girls starts at 9:30 with the last flight for the 4A boys beginning at 3.

The college football weekend starts tonight…
Washington travels to Corvallis to face Oregon State with a kickoff at 7:30 on FS1. Tomorrow, Central Washington hosts Southwest Baptist at Noon. Eastern Washington is at Idaho State at 1:30. And Washington State plays at Cal at 4 on the Pac-12 Network.
Wild host Penticton in BCHL showdown
The Wenatchee Wild will try to extend their winning streak at home with a couple games against Penticton tonight and tomorrow at the Town Toyota Center…
