(Wenatchee, WA)…If you missed the LIVE broadcast by the NCWLIFE Channel of the Bridge of Sportsmanship game between Eastmont and Wenatchee Friday, you can get the highlights here. Wenatchee won a hard-fought contest 17-14 to bring the Bridge of Sportsmanship trophy home after Eastmont won it in 2015. The Panthers led 3-0 at halftime but Eastmont’s Tristan Martinez gave the Wildcats its first lead in the 3rd quarter on a 27-yard touchdown run to make it 7-3. Wenatchee came right back and scored on a 17-yard pass play from Austin Blakney to David Snyder to reclaim the lead 10-7. Eastmont wrestled the lead back on a 4-yard, 4th quarter touchdown run by Nathan Schwinkendorf to make it 14-10 Wildcats. But as time wound down, Wenatchee mounted another drive, capped by a 19-yard touchdown pass from Blakney to Paddy Allen. That made it 17-14 Panthers. Eastmont would have one more shot, moving the ball to the Wenatchee 36-yard line before penalties, a nemesis for the Wildcats throughout the contest, moved them back, finally facing a 4th and long and failing to convert.
