So the Wildcats moved to 2-and-oh in Big 9 play with the victory. Wenatchee also improved to 2-and-oh with a 3-nil win at Davis. Madysen Smith, Jaden Griggs and Amanda Schneider, for the second consecutive game, provided the scoring for the Panthers.

Ellensburg shut out Eastmont 3-games to none. Chelan took care of Zillah 3-nil. And Waterville-Mansfield found the travel to Lake Roosevelt tough, falling to the Raiders 3 games to none.

Coach Don will be facing his former mentor in Ellensburg Coach Randy Affholter (AFF-holter). Michael says there’s no comparison between then and now when looking at the Bulldogs…

Junior Captain Wesley McIlwaine (MAC-ill-wane) says the winning has felt good, especially the way the defense has been playing…

Chelan plays host to South Whidbey. Manson’s at Liberty Christian and Waterville-Mansfield travels to Odessa. All the games kick off tonight at 7 o’clock. There is a lone game Saturday with Entiat playing at Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 5 o’clock.

Wenatchee Wild Head for Merritt and West Kelowna

The Wenatchee Wild continue the beginning of their BCHL schedule on the road this weekend…

After starting off with a couple wins last weekend, the Wild will play at Merritt against the Centennials tonight at 7. Then tomorrow, Wenatchee travels to West Kelowna to take on the Warriors at 7pm.

Cruz Smacks 3-Run Homer in 8-2 Win at Anahaim

The Mariners found some offense last night in an 8-2 win over the Angels in Anaheim…

Nelson Cruz hit a 3-run home run and Mitch Haniger went 2-for-4 and scored twice as Seattle had 12-hits in the game. Mike Leake had a good outing, going 7-innings and allowing just 1-run on 7-hits with 5 strikeouts. The two teams play again tonight at 7:07.

Mariners Gain a Game on Oakland in Wild Card Race

Seattle’s win actually helped them gain ground on the A’s last night as we look at the Les Schwab Scoreboard for the American League West…
