The Wildcats continued its run and downed Ike 15-13 in the finale to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.

Eastmont Plays 1st-Ever State Soccer Game Tonight

As a coach, you always want to have your team playing its best at the end of the season when the playoffs come around. Eastmont Coach Erin Redal will have to have her soccer team playing its best when they face the Central Valley Bears tonight at Wildcat Stadium…
Central Valley was the regular season champions of the Greater Spokane League, finishing the regular season undefeated at 13-oh-and-1. The Bears beat Walla Walla and Chiawana en route to the District Championship where they lost for the first time this season to Gonzaga Prep 3-nil.

Eastmont, meanwhile, has had to show resilience. After falling in the regular season finale to Moses Lake 3-nil, the Wildcats found themselves as the #4 seed in the Big 9. They fought past a District Play-in game against Davis 3-1. Then, facing the same team they’d just lost to a week earlier on Moses Lake’s home pitch, the Wildcats ended the Chiefs season 1-nil. Eastmont next travelled to Yakima and won it’s first-ever District Championship 2-nil over West Valley.

Tonight marks the first time in school history that Eastmont will play in the State 4A Tournament. They’ll kick off with Central Valley at 5 o’clock and our crew will be there with cameras ready. Sebastian Moraga and Matt Wisen have the play-by-play on the NCWLIFE Channel at 7 o’clock.
