It was a tale of two halves Friday night at Wildcat Stadium. Eastmont jumped out to an early 14-0 lead on visiting Central Valley thanks to two, first-quarter turnovers by the Bears. And even thought Eastmont led 27-14 in the 4th quarter, the visitors from the Greater Spokane League weren’t done yet. Senior quarterback Luke Abshire connected with his favorite target Nic Saunders on one long scoring drive after another, including a 5-yard touchdown pass with under 15-seconds to play to bring Central Valley within two at 33-31. The 2-point conversion came up just inches short however and the Wildcats hung on for the victory.
Ivan Corona scored two touchdowns on the ground for Eastmont while Logan Schneider had a busy night, scoring a touchdown on a pass reception on offense while recording a fumble recovery and interception on defense. Click here to watch the entire game on our Facebook feed.
