The visitors scored first in the 18th minute on a goal by Morgan Skone and set the pace with one onslaught after another. In fact, the Chiefs had outshot Eastmont 10-to-2 through the first 20-minutes of the contest but the Wildcats made their third shot on goal count.

Eastmont improves to 5-and-1 with the victory and moves into a first-place tie with Wenatchee atop the Big 9 standings with the win. The Chiefs fall to 4-and-2 with the loss.

Eastmont defended the home court with a 3-games-to-none shutout of Davis. Wenatchee stumbled on the road, falling to West Valley 3-nil. Chelan got the better of Cascade 3-0. Manson shut out Liberty Bell 3-games-to-none. And, Riverside Christian beat Cascade Christian 3-zero.

And it was an unheralded, backup catch who was hitting .170 and hadn’t had a hit since September 10th who came through in the clutch. Trevor Wolters delivered a two-out, RBI single on an oh-two pitch to give the Rockies the game-winner. Scott Oberg struck out the side in the bottom of the 13th to lock up the win and advance Colorado to the next round against Milwaukee.
