Eastmont, as the representative from the Columbia Basin Big Nine, received a 12-seed and will play at #5 seed Puyallup Friday night at 7 o’clock. Both teams finished the regular season at 9-and-1.

Wenatchee Wild Split Weekend Series
The Wenatchee Wild split its weekend series at the Town Toyota Center…
After falling to West Kelowna Friday 4-3, the Wild were trying to snap a 3-game losing streak Saturday against the Powell River Kings. The teams traded goals back and forth through the first two periods and it was tied 3-3 with less than five minutes remaining in regulation. That’s when the onslaught began.
Matt Gosiewski picked up a loose puck on a King power play and scored a short-handed goal with 4:32 left in the game. Matt Dorsey added to the lead at the 17:42 mark and then Josh Arnold finished it off as the Wild won it 6-3.
Wenatchee will host Surrey Friday and then Coquitlam Saturday at 7 at the Town Toyota Center.

Cedric Cooper rushed for 203 yards on 18-carries and scored four touchdowns as Central Washington demolished Southwest Baptist 74-28.

Seattle’s defense was sliced by Philip Rivers and the Charger offense all day with one big play after another. L-A averaged 7.1 yards per play as it built a 25-10 lead. Melvin Gordon led the Charger’s attack with 113-yards on 16 carries and a touchdown.
Seattle held Los Angeles scoreless in the second half until David King intercepted a Wilson pass and returned it 42-yards for a touchdown with 6:44 remaining in the game. Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll applauded his team’s comeback attempt, but said they made too many mistakes…
