WENATCHEE — Chelan County sheriff’s deputies say a 19-year old East Wenatchee man abducted his former girlfriend from the Wenatchee area late Thursday, transporting her against her will to Ellensburg and repeatedly assaulting her during the ordeal.
Chief of Special Operations Jason Reinfeld said in a Sunday press release deputies took the suspect into custody Saturday morning, on suspicion of first-degree assault, kidnapping, robbery and harassment.
“It is believed the victim was held against her will and was assaulted multiple times in the Wenatchee area and during a drive to and from Ellensburg,” Reinfeld wrote. “This incident is still under investigation by Chelan County Sheriff’s Office detectives.”
Reinfeld declined to name the suspect because he has not been charged by prosecutors. Booking records at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center show one 19-year-old inmate, Trey Michael Haberlock, who was jailed there at 11:23 a.m. Saturday on pending charges identical to those sought by the sheriff’s office. No details on Haberlock’s arrest were immediately available.
