East Wenatchee closing city offices after surge of COVID-19 cases

Because of a surge in COVID-19 cases, the city of East Wenatchee has closed its offices through at least the end of the week.

The closure went into effect at 2 this afternoon.

In a press release, the city said city services will continue but in-person services will be temporarily unavailable.

The city said the COVID-19 case count will be re-evaluated Monday to determine if reopening offices would be appropriate.

“For those that need to come to City Hall to do work in-person, please call ahead and each department will be making special accommodations on a case-by-case basis,” the city said. “The Police Department and Municipal Court windows will remain open at this time, as will the East Wenatchee Library.”
