The East Wenatchee City Council is expected to give the go ahead for a major street improvement project when they meet tonight in regular session. The city’s engineer, Greg Pezoldt, is slated to present the final plans for rebuilding Highline Drive between Grant Road and Third Street Southwest.
Pezoldt says the project is at the top of the City’s six year transportation priority plan. It will include a total rebuild of the street to include sidewalks, gutters, new sewer lines and street lights. 90 percent of the $2 million price tag will be paid for with grant funds.
The regular session begins at 6:30 p.m. in city council chambers.
