Okanogan County Sheriff, Tony Hawley shared these photos of search and rescue divers recovering a drowning victim’s body following a multi-agency weeklong search.

The sheriff reports 19- year-old Alexander Bravo-Marroquin disappeared on April 4th.

He and his brother were reportedly in a canoe that overturned on Washburn Pond off State Route 17.

The younger brother was able to swim safely to shore but his brother’s body could not be located until Tuesday when a special dive team from Idaho located the victim’s body.

The sheriff says the search involved local, State, Federal and Tribal agencies as well as multiple volunteers.
