The Lefties scored 4 in the 6th but Wenatchee answered with one in the 7th and 4 in the 8th to win 14-to-7. The victory was also the AppleSox 400th West Coast League win in team history.

Detloff ended up 3-for-5 on the night with three runs and three RBI’s. Owen Leonard worked two innings of relief to earn the victory, allowing 4-runs on 3-hits with 2-walks and 2-strikeouts.

Wenatchee could earn the series win in the finale tonight at 6:35 when they send James Kulak to the mound to face Port Angeles’ Kade Mechals.

Derek Marshall, Jr. had a 2-run home run and Bellingham beat the Cowlitz Black Bears 10-to-1 at Joe Martin Field. The Bells will go for the sweep tonight.

Mark Woinarowicz pitched 5-scoreless innings of one-hit ball in relief to help Yakima Valley to a 4-2 over Victoria. Tanner Parker also drove in 2-runs as the Pippins improved to 6-and-1.

Michael Hicks and Dominic Enbody each had three hits as Ridgefield continued its inaugural season dominance in an 8-1 win over Portland. The Raptors improved to 6-and-2 with the victory.

Yakima Valley remains in 1st place

Yakima Valley has a game-and-a-half lead on Port Angeles and Bellingham. Victoria is 3-games back in 4th while Wenatchee and Kelowna are 4-and-a-half games back.

For the third game in a row, Seattle’s bullpen couldn’t back up a good outing by a starter as the Mariners fell to Minnesota today 10-5…

Yusei Kikuchi went five strong innings allowing 1-run on 6-hits with 4-strikeouts. His only run allowed was a solo home run to former Mariner Nelson Cruz, who went 3-for-4 on the day with 3-RBI’s.

Daniel Vogelbach was 2-for-4 with an RBI double and Kyle Seager contributed a double among his two hits.

Seattle bullpen squanders 5-run lead

Going back to last night, Seattle’s bullpen squandered a 6-1, 8th inning lead but then Minnesota’s defense gave it right back, committing 3-errors in the 10th as the Mariners topped the Twins 9-6 at Target Field…

Shed Long hit his first career home run, a 3-run shot in Seattle’s 5-run 8th inning. Daniel Vogelbach also went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, his 17th of the season.

The Mariners used an opening pitcher again with Gerson Bautists lasting an inning-and-a-third with no runs. Former AppleSox Tommy Milone then came on, going 6-innings, allowing 3-runs on 4-hits with 6-strikeouts.

Seattle now heads for Oakland to being a three-game, weekend series with the A’s tomorrow as Marco Gonzales will face Chris Bassitt at 6:37.

Ramon Laureano’s grand slam home run in the top of the 8th was the difference as Oakland topped Tampa Bay 6-to-2.

Mike Moustakas’ 2-run home run highlighted a 3-run 14th as Milwaukee topped Houston 6-3 at Minute Maid Park.
