Crunch Pak joins ‘meal replacement’ market with latest product

Cashmere-based Crunch Pak is jumping into the meal-replacement market with the launch of Lunch Kitz in October.

The snack tray will feature Crunch-Pak’s signature sliced apples, an artisan cracker, string cheese and Italian salami and will cost from $2.99 to $3.49 in supermarkets.

Lunch Kitz will be sold in more than 3,000 stores nationwide, the company said.

The first packages will feature Woody from the “Toy Story” movies.

The company said Lunch Kitz needed to meet Disney’s strict nutritional guidelines and are an excellent source of vitamin C.
