COVID-19 ‘thermographic’ going in the wrong direction


COVID-19 numbers in Chelan and Douglas counties were up again in the health district’s weekly thermographic that was released Thursday.

The number of new cases per 100,000 population in the past 14 days for the two counties stands at 178.2, compared to 168.2 a week ago.

The Chelan-Douglas Health District’s goal is no more than 25 new cases over the previous two-week period.

Chelan County reported 14 new positive coronavirus tests Thursday day and Douglas County eight.

There are currently three Chelan County residents hospitalized with the virus and none from Douglas County.
