WENATCHEE — The man killed in a fire in his parked camper in Wenatchee last week has been identified.
Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris says 49-year-old David L. Scott was the victim found inside the burned camper Dec. 6, after Wenatchee fire crews arrived to extinguish the blaze. Scott had apparently been living in the pickup truck and attached camper top, which was parked at South Miller Street and Red Apple Road near Central Washington Hospital.
A dog was found dead beside him in the wreckage.
Harris said Scott was identified from dental records. The investigation continues into the cause of the fire, as well as Scott’s precise cause of death.
