Family, patients, co-workers and countless others in the Wenatchee Valley are mourning the passing of longtime Confluence Health Dr. Jeffery Clarke.
Confluence Health said Clarke’s wife, Karen informed them that he died unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at age 65 Sunday.
Clarke, in addition to being a popular internal medicine physician at Confluence for the past 23 years, is also well known for being an active outdoorsman.
In a statement Wednesday, Confluence CEO Dr. Peter Rutherford said the Confluence family is heartbroken” over the loss of Clarke, who Rutherford said loved and spoiled his patients.
“His colleagues remember fondly how every one of Dr. Clarke’s patients were always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. He always had a funny joke to share in the office and his co-workers said they will miss the way he made them laugh,” Rutherford said. “With such a legacy of compassionate care, Dr. Clarke is a piece of Confluence Health we will always remember. Our condolences and thoughts go out to the entire Clarke family.”
