The Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council wants the entire community involved as it determines what social services are needed the most in the two-county region.
To that end, the Community Action Council will hold a public forum from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 9th, at the Wenatchee Community Center, 504 S. Chelan Ave., to seek input from residents on the strengths and gaps in the local social-services network.
The public forum is one of several ways the Community Action Council is gathering information for the needs assessment, which is required by federal law every three years.
Earlier this month, a survey was launched in both English and Spanish, asking residents to identify barriers and challenges they face in accessing services. The effort is being overseen by a steering committee made up of representatives of other social service and government agencies in the two-county area.
A final report will be released to the public in May.
