It’s National Drinking Water Week, and a Wenatchee Valley water specialist has received special honors for her work from the Washington Department of Health.
Arnica Briody is an Environmental Health Specialist with the Chelan-Douglas Health District.
The state health agency awarded her the “Friend of Drinking Water” recognition, for her work in reclassifying large drinking water systems that had previously been classified at a lower level.
Briody was one of eight water-health workers from across the state recognized for excellence in their field.
