Chelan County will begin work on chip sealing projects on about 30 miles of county roads next week. The work on the 25 roads is a three-step process, so anyone driving in those areas should expect sporadic delays of up to 20 minutes throughout the summer.
The heaviest concentration of projects will be in the Cashmere area, including two separate stretches of Mission Creek Road in line for chip sealing. Wenatchee will see work on Stemilt Creek, Joe Miller and Stemilt Hill roads, as well as Luber Lane. There is just one project in the Leavenworth area, but it is a big one. More than four miles of Chiwawa Loop Road will be chip sealed.
