Organizations interested securing a share of Chelan County’s Lodging Tax funds for 2019 have until 4 p.m., Oct. 30, to submit their applications.
There is $250,000 in lodging tax revenue available this round of funding.
Grants are awarded based on the applicant’s ability to increase tourism and convention activity in the county and the accompanying boost in overnight stays and/or increase in retail sales.
Last month, county commissioners approved the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee’s recommendation for about $1.5 million in disbursement to area chambers of commerce and others over the next three years. The $250,000 now available comes from a discretionary portion of that funding.
You can find complete rules and details on how to submit an application for funds on the county’s website.
