Chelan County Commissioners have declared the county a high fire hazard area, imposing numerous restrictions on county lands and roads.
Among other things, the designation bans the use of fireworks countywide and prohibits fires of any sort.
Also banned is the operation of any vehicle off the roadway.
Travel on designated county roads has been limited to residents, as well as landowners and leaseholders to perform work on the property.
The commissioners took the actions on the recommendation of the Fire Advisory Board based on current and forecast conditions.
