Cashmere Brush Fire Requires Two Alarms

Chelan County Fire Crews Called to Cashmere

CASHMERE, WA – Chelan County Fire Crews were called out to a rapidly expanding brush fire in Cashmere Thursday in the 4 o’clock hour. The fire was burning in brush and trees near homes and a retirement center off Pioneer Drive and Tigner Road.

In this video from our LocalTel SkyFi camera at Stine’s Hill, you can clearly see the wind pushing the flames into nearby trees.

We have not received any word of injuries or evacuations. But we’re pleased to report once fire crews arrived on the scene, they made quick work of dousing the flames.

This was an earlier view from across US 2 in Cashmere above Apple Annie’s.

We’ll have much more on the fire Friday morning with News Director Steve Hair on Wake Up Wenatchee Valley on the NCWLIFE Channel at 7:00 a.m. (on LocalTel Channel 12, Charter Channel 19, and over the air Channel 47.1)
