Right from the opening tip, King’s Way Christian controlled the game, hitting from the inside with the drive…to Cashmere shooting and missing long-range threes which lead to a three pointer at the other end…to another three by the Knights to put King’s Way Christian on top 19-6 by the end of the first quarter.

Brewster girls win to advance

Turning to the Les Schwab Prep Scoreboard for the 2B Tournament in Spokane…


The Brewster girls stayed alive and moved on to Day 2 of the tournament at the Veteran’s Memorial Arena by downing Rainier 53-48. The Lady Bears will face Tri-Cities Prep today in the quarterfinals at 9pm.

Brewster plays quaterfinals today


The Brewster boys are already in the quarterfinals and will play Willapa Valley this morning at 9 o’clock. Willapa Valley knocked Oroville out of the tournament yesterday morning with a 58-44 decision. The Lake Roosevelt boys advanced yesterday with a 41-37 win over Liberty (Spangle). The Raiders face Life Christian Academy today at 2 o’clock in the quarterfinals.

Mariners can’t hold lead vs. Tribe

With the snow here it’s nice to think of dry, sunny weather in Arizona where the Mariners continue spring training. Seattle took on Cleveland yesterday and jumped out to an early lead thanks to the long ball from Daniel Vogelbach…

The Mariners scored 5-runs in the second but couldn’t hold on as Cleveland came back for the 6-5 win. Seattle’s back home in Peoria today to face the Chicago White Sox at 12:10. Felix Hernandez is on the mound for Seattle.
