Car crashes through the window of East Wenatchee Goodwill store

A car crashed through the window of the Goodwill store in East Wenatchee this morning but neither the driver nor any people inside the store were injured.

An elderly woman who is a frequent customer of the store pulled in, thought she’d hit the brake and hit the gas instead, said East Wenatchee Police Officer Joe Hinkle .

The car hopped the curb at a slow speed before going through the window and completely inside the building.

There were a couple cashiers working in the front of the store but they avoided injury, Hinkle said.

Because the accident was on private property the driver will not be cited, he said.

The store is next to the Safeway on Grant Road.
