It was rather appropriate that the Panther senior would pull off the feat on Senior Night, as Wenatchee celebrated the 13 upper classman on its roster.

After a scoreless first half, the game picked up a frenetic pace as the second half wore on with one Wenatchee attack after another. Despite several close chances, the game would go into a second overtime before Camarillo scored his 17th goal of the season, tying a Panther single-season record.

So Wenatchee gets the win 1-nil and now awaits the outcome of tonight’s game between Sunnyside and Eisenower to determine if they are the #2 or #3 seed into the post-season. Which would mean either a District Play-In game Friday at home or a bye into the first round of Districts and a game at home next Tuesday.

Also last night, Cascade crushed Omak 7-nil and Okanogan edged Chelan 4-3.

Wenatchee continued its trek to try to finish 2nd in the Big 9 with a 4-1 win over Eisenhower. The Panthers are battling down the stretch with Davis, who got a home run in the top of the 7th to beat Eastmont 6-5. So the Panthers and Pirates are tied at 11-and-5 heading into the final doubleheaders Friday. And it was Okanogan edging Cashmere 10-9.

Moses Lake shut out Eastmont 11-0. Wenatchee ten-runned Eisenhower 11-1. Omak and Chelan split a doubleheader with the Pioneers taking the opener 12-8 but the Goats coming back to win big, 23-to-2. And Okanogan shut down Cashmere 19-to-1.

And West Valley came out on top with a team score of 315. Wenatchee was second at 328 and Eastmont 3rd at 351. The Ram’s Jack Sultan was medalist with an impressive 70. Wenatchee’s Trey Stegeman shot a 77 to finish 3rd while teammate Hunter Swartz was 4th with a 79.

Chicago got to Mariners starter Felix Hernandez for two home runs in his 6-innings of work to go with his 8 strikeouts.

The back-and-forth contest saw Seattle take the lead twice. First in the 4th on a 3-run frame to lead 3-2. Following Anthony Rizzo’s 2-run home run in the top of the 6th, Seattle tied it in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI-single by Dee Gordon. They regained the lead in the 7th on Edwin Encarnacion’s 8th home run of the season.

Seattle will send Marco Gonzales to the mound to try to snap a 3-game losing streak this afternoon while Chicago will start Jon Lester. First pitch is at 3:40.
