Washington State Beekeepers Beginning Beekeepers Course

The Washington State Beekeepers Association (WASBA) is offering their Beginning Beekeeper’s Course August 3 & 4, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and August 10, 2019 from 8 a.m. to noon at the East Wenatchee Fire Station.  There will be an observation bee colony available for student study on August 3 & 4. Course qualification, cost information and sign up instructions are as follows:

  • No prior experience required. This course teaches the beekeeping best practices needed to successfully maintain a bee colony your first beekeeping year, with a special emphasis on mite control and preparing colonies for the upcoming winter.
  • WASBA cost is $25 for the class including manual, graduation certificate, and initial WASBA membership. Plus $5 to cover graduation certificate mailer and postage and $5 for instructor provided materials and refreshments.  Total cost is $35.00.
