NCW EcoChallenge Begins

May 6

FREE

The NCW EcoChallenge is a FREE community-wide competition only for Chelan and Douglas county residents. Participants challenge themselves to try new, environmentally-friendly behaviors for two weeks. You choose the behaviors you want to commit to doing (from over 100 options) and report your progress online daily. In addition to learning how to reduce your carbon footprint, you have a chance to win daily individual prizes and cash for the nonprofit agency of your choice! Register at https://ncw.ecochallenge.org

Register, create your own team, join an existing team, or participate as an individual. Challenge yourself to try some new behaviors. Pick up to 8 daily challenges and up to 8 one-time challenges. Once the challenge begins on May 6th, go online every day for two weeks to record your actions (required to earn points) and post about your experiences (optional).

Earn points for your team (which helps win cash for your nonprofit agency.) Every day, Sustainable Wenatchee gives out multiple individual prizes, plus a chance at the Grand Prize at the end – a new iPad! There are over $3,000 worth of individual prizes and the top FIVE teams get money to donate to a local 501(c)3 non-profit of their choice.

This event is sponsored by Chelan PUD, Link Transit, & Waste Management. It is hosted by Sustainable Wenatchee with help from Climate Conversations NCW.
