Framing Culture in Two Takes: Edward S. Curtis vs. Frank S. Matsura

The museum’s Environmental Film and Lecture Series sponsored by The Wenatchee River Institute presents Framing Culture in Two Takes: Edwards S. Curtis vs. Frank S Matsura. Washington State University Associate Professor of Art History and Fine Arts, Michael Hollman takes a critical look at the differing visions of Native American life as portrayed in the turn-of-the-century images of Curtis and Okanogan’s Matsura. This is free and open to the public. A $5 donation is suggested. Light refreshments will be provided along with a no-host wine bar. The Icicle Fund is sponsoring this event.
