WENATCHEE- Memorial Day weekend is one of the country’s favorite time of year to go camping. That being said, this weekend is also one of the hardest times of the year to find an available campsite.
Robin DeMario, Public Affairs Specialist with the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest says hopefully you planned your trip early and with high-water conditions this year stay alert when camping near a water source.
DeMario also reminds campers to please use caution when driving on forest roads. Roads in the upper elevation areas may still have snow on them and the forest service asks visitors to refrain from driving on muddy and snowy roads to avoid damaging them.
