Bill Forhan, owner of several NCW publications, dies at age 74

LEAVENWORTH — William E. “Bill” Forhan, publisher of the Wenatchee Business Journal and other newspapers serving Chelan, Cashmere and Leavenworth, has died. He was 74.

Paramedics were called to Forhan’s Leavenworth home on Sunday afternoon, after he was found unresponsive.

Since 2000, Forhan and his wife Carol have owned NCW Media, a holding company for weekly newspapers including the Leavenworth EchoLake Chelan MirrorCashmere Valley Record and the Quad City Herald in Brewster. NCW Media previously published the Okanogan Valley Gazette-Tribune, and swapped it in 2011 to Sound Publishing to acquire the Wenatchee Business Journal.
