Mitch Moreland’s 2-run single highlighted a 5-run 3rd inning for the A’s as Oakland beat the Angels 8-to-5. The loss for Los Angeles ruined 4-hit nights for Jose Iglesias and David Fletcher. It also ended the Halo’s 6-game winning streak.

Those were the only two games in the American League West last night, so Oakland’s lead in the west is 2-and-a-half games over Houston. The Angels are one game in front of Seattle for 3rd in the division.
