A Wenatchee man has been arrested for the hit-and-run accident in a Wenatchee crosswalk Monday that injured a 57-year-old Wenatchee woman.

Wenatchee police say Timothy Shales, 57, has been booked into the Chelan County Jail, where he faces a felony hit-and-run charge in addition to other charges.

Police say they were able to identify Shales’ vehicle from surveillance footage from a business near the 5th Street and North Emerson Avenue crosswalk where the woman was hit.

The woman underwent surgery earlier this week for a broken ankle and also suffered rib injuries.
