Apple Blossom Candidate Tatum Kentnor

Earlier this month, NCWLIFE Channel’s Eric Granstrom sat down with each of the Top 10 Apple Blossom Royalty Candidates to get to know them a little better. Meet Tatum Kentnor…

Who is Tatum?

Tatum is the daughter of Tracy Trotter and Todd Kentnor. Tatum is currently a member of WHS Chamber Singers, has performed in several of the school musicals, and volunteers each year with “Be The Light”. Tatum has been a competition dancer at the Academy of Dance and Performing Arts and Fabulous Feet Dance Studio since she was 8 years old, has created her own community service platform “Open Hearts-Open Minds” to promote acceptance and support among teens and regularly volunteers with the Washington Special Olympics Winter Games. In her spare time, she enjoys working on her Aerial Arts skills and howling with her Pomeranian Tanjy. After graduation, Tatum plans to become a Paramedic.

Tatum’s favorite things

Tatum’s favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy and her favorite movie is Hamilton, the musical. Her favorite song is “Movin’ Right Along” by The Muppets. She is most inspired by Deloma Ensley Sherwood Apple Blossom Queen 1973, and her most treasured keepsake is her grandmother’s ring.

Why Tatum?

Tatum’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley is to make her yearly spin art Frisbee and character art at Apple Blossom, and watch the valley’s sunrises and sunsets. Her proudest moment is receiving her Varsity Letter for her community service through Youth United. If Tatum could trade places with anyone for the day, she would trade places with Audrey Hepburn. Tatum feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she would be a great role model for those young girls in the valley on the Autism Spectrum as she might be one of the first to be part of this great organization who herself is Autistic.
