Candidate Savannah Slife 2019-02-08

Savannah is the daughter of Eric and Daphne Slife. Savannah played soccer, basketball, participated in DECA, and has volunteered in many special education programs at her high school. Savannah is involved in Young Life and has been working at the Worx Kid’s Club for 3 years. In Savannah’s spare time she enjoys being active, cooking, painting, and hanging out with friends. Savannah currently is a full time Running Start student at Wenatchee Valley Community College and completing her associates degree. After graduation, Savannah plans to attend Washington State University and major in elementary education with later plans of getting her masters. She also plans to continue pursuing her own nationwide company, Twisted Tomboy, which she started when she was only 11 years old.

Savannah’s favorite TV show is The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and her favorite movie is The Notebook. Her favorite song is “From The Ground up” by Dan and Shay and her favorite novel is Everybody Always by Bob Goff. She is most inspired by Anne Frank and her most treasured keepsake is the box that holds every letter and note she has received while growing up.

Savannah’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides attending the Apple Blossom food fair, is to lay on the dock outside Pybus Market and admire the amazing views of the river and mountains. Her proudest moment was being able to volunteer for an entire month at the Young Life camp called Malibu, in Canada. If Savannah could trade places with anyone for the day she would trade with Guy Fieri. Savannah feels she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she has been blessed to grow up here and is thankful for such a great community. She has experienced the magic Apple Blossom brings to this town and wants to be part of creating that for others.
