Meet Top 10 Candidate Lucy Gomez

Candidate Lucy Gomez 2019-02-07

Lucy is the daughter of Irma Gomez. Lucy is captain of her high school’s cheer team, is senior-class president, a Link Leader, and was chosen by her schoolmates as a Natural Helper. Lucy helped create her church’s youth group, and every December hands out candy canes to the elderly at Bonaventure. In her spare time, she enjoys baking chocolate chip cookies, spending time with her loved ones, and watching movies. After graduation, Lucy plans to go to a four-year university in the beautiful Washington State.

Lucy’s favorite TV show is America’s Next Top Model and her favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. Her favorite song is “Forever Young” by Jay Z and her favorite novel is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. She is most inspired by her mom, and her most treasured keepsake is an album filled with pictures of her family.

Lucy’s favorite thing to do in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom, is to watch the sky as the sunsets on the gorgeous valley while being with the people that matter most to her. Her proudest moment is when she, along with her family, collected clothes and blankets to hand out to people with great needs in Mexico. If Lucy could trade places with anyone for a day, she would trade places with Mother Teresa. Lucy feels like she should represent the Wenatchee Valley because she is passionate about the love she has for the Valley, and feels that she has the qualities to represent it in the best way possible.
