Apple Blossom Candidate Kamryn Fowler

1030

Earlier this month, NCWLIFE Channel’s Eric Granstrom sat down with each of the Top 10 Apple Blossom Royalty Candidates to get to know them a little better. Meet Kamryn Fowler…

Who is Kamryn?

Kamryn is the daughter of Steve and Melissa Fowler. She is on the President’s List at Wenatchee Valley College in the Running Start Program. Kamryn volunteers her time at a hospitality house in Wenatchee where she serves those undergoing cancer treatments. She has been in collaboration with the Chelan and Douglas County Board of Health to provide data concerning the mental and physical health of students in the valley. She is also involved in the Special Olympics Winter Games every year in Wenatchee. Kamryn dances on the competition team at Fabulous Feet Dance studio and is employed as a choreographer. Every year, she enjoys dancing on the Apple Blossom Stage at Memorial Park and at the Royalty Selection Pageant. She is a marketing specialist for a local fabric shop and is expanding her sewing skills. After graduation, Kamryn hopes to continue her education at Brigham Young University or the University of Washington and serve a mission for her church.

Kamryn’s favorite things

Kamryn’s favorite TV show is Parks and Recreation, favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back, and favorite song is “The Heart of Life” by John Mayer. Her favorite book is Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. She is most inspired by her grandfather. Kamryn is frequently seen wearing a purple Swatch on her left hand, which is one of her most treasured items.

Why Kamryn?

Kamryn’s favorite activities in the Wenatchee Valley, besides Apple Blossom, include hiking with family in Sage Hills, skiing at Mission Ridge, and going on lunch dates at Pybus Market with her friends. Her proudest moment was finishing the construction of an elementary school for a small village in Paraguay. If she could trade places with anyone it would be her first ancestor to immigrate to America, Eliza Perry. Wenatchee’s people, places, and culture have shaped her, and she wants to give back to the community that she loves. Kamryn will represent Wenatchee Valley and Apple Blossom Festival as a confident role model with a big smile, a kind word, and a positive outlook.
